Safety Tips
Effective October 13, 2026
Twundle is designed to help people connect with intention, confidence, and clarity. While we work hard to keep the community safe, your awareness and judgment are essential. These guidelines outline practical steps you can take to protect yourself both online and offline.
1. Protect Your Personal Information
- Keep your last name, home address, workplace, and daily routines private until trust is established.
- Avoid sharing financial details, passwords, or identification numbers.
- Use Twundle’s messages rather than moving to personal apps too quickly.
- Be cautious with photos that reveal your location or personal documents in the background.
Twundle shows other members only an approximate distance, never where you are, and removes hidden location data from the photos you upload.
2. Stay Alert for Suspicious Behavior
Common warning signs include:
- Requests for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial help
- Stories involving emergencies, sudden crises, or pressure to act quickly
- Attempts to move conversations off the platform immediately
- Inconsistent details or evasive answers
- Overly polished or generic responses that feel automated
If something feels off, trust your instincts and report the profile.
3. Keep Conversations on Twundle at First
- Twundle includes tools to block, report, and unmatch.
- Staying on-platform helps us detect harmful behavior early.
- Avoid sharing your phone number, email, or social handles until you feel comfortable.
4. Verify Before You Trust
- Look for profiles with multiple clear photos and thoughtful descriptions.
- Suggest a short video call before meeting.
- Be cautious of anyone who avoids video calls after extended conversation.
5. Plan Safe First Meetings
When you decide to meet in person:
- Choose a public, well-lit location
- Tell a friend where you’re going and who you’re meeting
- Arrange your own transportation
- Keep your phone charged and accessible
- Stay sober enough to make clear decisions
If the situation feels uncomfortable, you can leave at any time.
6. Respect Boundaries — Yours and Theirs
Healthy connections require mutual respect.
- You never owe anyone personal details, photos, or a meeting
- Declining a request is always acceptable
- If someone pressures you, disengage and report the behavior
- Consent applies to all interactions, online and offline
7. Report Concerns Immediately
Use Report from the menu on any profile or conversation if you encounter:
- Harassment or threats
- Fake profiles or impersonation
- Requests for money
- Hate speech or abusive behavior
- Underage users
- Any situation that feels unsafe
Our safety team reviews reports promptly and takes appropriate action. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
8. Trust Your Instincts
If something feels wrong, it probably is.
- End conversations that make you uneasy
- Block members who behave inappropriately
- Take breaks if you feel overwhelmed
- Remember: your comfort and safety come first
9. Protect Your Device & Account
- Use a strong, unique password
- Keep your device updated
- Avoid using Twundle on shared or public computers
- Sign out when you’re done if you’re not on a personal device
10. Emotional Safety Matters Too
Dating can be exciting, but also emotionally intense.
- Move at a pace that feels right for you
- Don’t let anyone rush your decisions
- Take breaks when needed
- Reach out to trusted friends or professionals if you feel distressed
Your well-being is more important than any match.
