Your Data & Account Deletion
Effective October 13, 2026 · Last updated October 21, 2026
This page explains what information Twundle stores, how you can delete your account, what is removed immediately, what may be retained for a limited period, and how to request erasure or a copy of your data. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
1. What Data Twundle Stores
Twundle may store the following categories of data:
- Account information, including your first name, email address, date of birth, and authentication details
- Profile information, including photos, captions, your words and prompts, preferences, location, and profile settings
- Interactions, including likes, matches, messages, profile views, reports, blocks, and other account activity within the platform
- Technical logs, including security events, device and browser metadata, IP-related logs, and diagnostic records used to operate and protect the service
- Safety records, including moderation actions, abuse reports, fraud investigations, and enforcement history
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account in the app.
- Sign in to your Twundle account
- Open Settings
- Select Delete account
- Follow the confirmation prompts
If you cannot access your account, you may email support@twundle.com from the email address associated with your account and request deletion manually.
If you have a subscription through Apple or Google, deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first.
3. What Is Deleted Immediately vs. Within 30 Days
After a valid deletion request is submitted:
- Your account is deactivated promptly and your profile is removed from discovery, likes, and matches
- You are signed out everywhere and routine account access is disabled
- Your photos and remaining account records are deleted from our systems within 30 days, except the record of a Founding Offer you received, which our Privacy Policy describes
This staged process helps ensure deletion requests are applied across operational systems in a reliable and secure manner.
4. Backup Retention Timeline
Encrypted backups may retain deleted account data for up to 30 days after deletion processing begins.
These backups are:
- Retained only for disaster recovery and system integrity
- Encrypted and access-restricted
- Automatically purged on the backup retention schedule
Backup data is not restored to active use except where necessary for recovery, security, or legal compliance.
5. How to Request Full Erasure
If you want to request full erasure of your personal data, email privacy@twundle.com and clearly state that you are requesting full data erasure.
To help us verify and process the request, include:
- Your account email address
- Your first name as shown on your profile
- Any additional information needed to verify ownership
6. How to Request a Data Export
You may request a copy of your data by contacting privacy@twundle.com.
A data export request may include available account data such as:
- Basic account details
- Profile information and photos you provided
- Certain activity or interaction records associated with your account
We may require reasonable identity verification before releasing an export.
7. Safety and Legal Exceptions
In limited cases, Twundle may retain certain records after a deletion request where retention is necessary for safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Examples include:
- Fraud detection and chargeback prevention
- Harassment, abuse, or safety investigations, including reports that are still open
- Records required to enforce platform bans or restrictions
- Legal holds, subpoenas, or other lawful preservation duties
Where retention is required, we limit retained data to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
8. Contact Us
If you have questions about account deletion, data erasure, or data export requests, contact Twundle at support@twundle.com.
We will review requests within a reasonable timeframe and may ask for additional verification where necessary to protect account security and user privacy.
